Reduce facial pigmentation (brown or red spots), superficial blood vessels, reverse photodamage and improve skin texture with InMode's newest technological advances – Lumecca.
Using ultimate precision, Lumecca emits intense pulsed light (IPL) to target and treat a variety of skin conditions through photothermolysis. This special device is effective for all skin tones ranging from light to dark.
This revolutionary IPL treatment is far more advanced than devices used in the past. Decades ago, if you wanted to reduce skin pigmentation or capillaries, treatment was lengthy, painful, and even resulted in minor skin burns. Lumecca, however, has changed the IPL industry. Its sapphire cooling tip ensures you remain comfortable throughout your procedure. The best part is you can achieve results in as little as 1-2 sessions compared to 4-6 with standard IPL’s.

Lumecca is ideal for treating areas of skin that are typically exposed to the sun including face, neck, Décolletage, arms, hands, and legs.
The first step in preparing for your Lumecca treatment is to meet with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. B. Aviva Preminger. She will assess your health history and determine if you are a candidate.
Be sure to avoid excessive exposure to the sun or tanning for at least one month prior to your appointment.
As the device works, you will see a bright flash of light, and feel a mild elastic sensation. Following your treatment, you may experience slight redness and warm sensation in the areas treated, although these symptoms should subside within an hour.
Within the first 24-48 hours, spots may seem to darken. However, within about a week afterward, these pigmented lesions will naturally fall off, leaving you with gorgeous, even skin tone. Most results are visible within 1-2 weeks following treatment.
Many patients see results in as little as 1-2 treatments. However, each case will vary. Some patients may require multiple treatments, depending on the severity of their skin damage, as well as the type of treatment they need.
Length of results will vary. Dr. Preminger advises using sunscreen on your face and other areas that are exposed to the sun when going outside, especially for long periods or during the peak time of day when the sun’s UVA/UVB rays are most dangerous.
Protecting your skin from the sun’s UVA/UVB rays can help prevent facial pigmentation and photodamage. However, our skin naturally changes tone and texture as we age. Therefore, it is possible you may need to receive maintenance treatments later on.
Results are within your reach and are more convenient than ever to achieve thanks to advances in non-invasive procedures. To learn more about Lumecca by InMode, call the office of Preminger Plastic Surgery today at (212) 706-1900 to schedule your initial consultation.
