What is FaceTite™?
FaceTite™ is a nonsurgical option to treating aging skin due to sun exposure, smoking, or the natural aging process. If you are interested in a noninvasive “facelift,” but are not quite ready to undergo a surgical facelift, then FaceTite™ may be an option for you.
Its radio frequency energy works deep beneath the skin’s surface to help tighten skin and regenerate the growth of collagen, which results in youthful looking skin. After using a local anesthetic, Dr. Preminger can perform the treatment while you remain completely comfortable.
The small, handheld device sends radio frequency through internal electrodes. No incisions are necessary, although you may experience marks that resemble pinpricks, which heal within a few days.
The procedure lasts about 40 minutes and provides near immediate results. Patients continue to see improvements for up to two months following treatment as new collagen is forming.
FaceTite™ Recovery
FaceTite™ is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a small needle to apply heat and energy. Therefore, recovery time is greatly reduced in comparison to a traditional facelift. It will be important to cover your skin with an SPF 50 for at least two weeks following treatment.
You may experience tender, swollen or red areas for up to five days following treatment, and should be back to work within about a week. Dr. Preminger will provide you with specific post-op care instructions to help ensure a smooth recovery.
